Dr Fullarton is a retired real estate and business agent and resident tax practitioner in Carnarvon. He designed and built Australia’s first privately owned, commercial solar farm in 2005. In 2008 he integrated an ice-works into the project demonstrate how solar energy can be applied in industry. He also Researches taxation law at Curtin Law School and has written several books on taxation history, renewable energy and carbon taxes.
After leaving the Carnarvon Senior High School in 1973 he worked as a clerk in the WA public service until studying full-time at WA Secondary Teachers’ College in 1978-9. He joined the Commonwealth Quarantine Service at Karratha in 1979, before re-joining the WA public service in 1981 with the Real Estate and Business Agents’ Supervisor Board.
He has served in a number of executive roles as a Divisional Councilor for the Institute of Public Accountants; EMC Solar Ltd; and as a councilor with the Shire of Carnarvon.
